Mr Chris, 36, Business Development Manager of eClarity, said: “To ensure that couples get to attend webinars or 1-1 virtual appointments at their convenient time, and also giving them full attention, webinars are hosted every Tuesday 6-7pm and 9-10pm. During the sessions, our Gemologist answers to all questions, gives a good overview, and even demonstrate grading and engraving experience on the spot.”

eClarity, together with its youthful brand BA.SG (which is the eco-friendly, younger, simpler brand, symbolizing the online natural and labgrown diamond retailer of the next generation) are good examples of online companies adjusting to the new normal during the Covid-19 pandemic.

These new platforms have created interest and opportunities in sales and marketing, with great signups and online orders.

“I observed increased enquiries from our social media like Instagram, Facebook, Shopee, and Carousell. Many of the enquiries turn into online or instore appointments and converted to sale subsequently,” Ms Kyuree said. “I also observed that having an experience gallery and a collection point at Ngee Ann City is welcomed by many Singaporean couples.”

“Our international sale volume has also increased, as people are now more climatized to diamond or jewellery consultations over virtual platforms.”

The transformation is successful and evolving constantly to suit the needs of jewellery shoppers in Singapore and around the region.
